Real Estate - Brand Creation, Refresh, Interiors, Architecture, Digital - I AM marketing consulting services, brand consultants , branding agency & brand identity design india

Real Estate Sales Lounge We work with estate agents, realtors and developers to build their brands and define the experience they offer their customers. This work ranges from name generation and corporate identity through to brand communication, apps, websites and the design & build of welcoming offices and sexy sales lounges. Buying a new home is an exciting, terrifying, emotionally charged experience – not to mention the biggest financial transaction in most people’s lifetime. The experience you offer your customers should reflect this. In London, we work with a new generation of estate agents who focus on great customer service and a better experience for both buyers and sellers. For decades, estate agents’ branches have, at best, been described as simply ‘offices on the high street’. The visitor’s experience has been subject to very little real innovation or interaction – until recently. Using our 360° approach, we go beyond conventional estate agent office design and crea

With extensive knowledge in creating award-winning showrooms featuring a blend of virtual and physical environments, Pete focused his talk on ‘Trends in Showroom Design’. Pete stated that customer journeys are at the heart of showroom design, independent of medium. He said that brands are increasingly optimising the human experience for the right encounter with the brand, during the right psychological moment. This was demonstrated through examples of sho

I-AM proves the ‘model’ agency - I-AM branding agency, brand strategy consulting & brand consultants in India

I-AM proves the ‘model’ agency May was the month that saw the I-AM team head out to the sunny shores of Ibiza with Spanish shoe brand Flossy to shoot their latest Spring/Summer 2016 campaign. And with our almost legendary hands-on approach in full swing, two of our very own I-AMers downed tools to become faces of the brand. Discovering quite quickly that it’s not all glitz and glamour in the modeling world, our girls were poked, prodded and positioned to act-up for more than 60 separate looks and the results were amazing. It had initially been the dream trip, three I-AM girls, villa in the Ibiza hills complete with pool, a Jeep to hand and a yacht at their disposal. What actually ensued was a complete baptism of fire! Sun burn, rather revealing bikinis and a sea-sick photographer all waged war on the ‘perfect trip’. However, we are made of tough stuff here and our representatives did the agency proud. So hats off Victoria Rose, our real life brand communications manager; model Emma

A Place in Heaven - I-AM brand consultants, Workspace design, Office branding, branding agency & Marketing Consulting Services in Mumbai, India

A Place in Heaven You only have to get a good view of London’s skyline to tick off the many big businesses that have headquarters here, but did you know there’s booming trade at the opposite end of the scale as well? It’s never been easier to leave that city job behind, make your passion a profession and be your own boss. All over London, shared workspaces are springing up to house these start-up and micro businesses. So if you’re weighing up making that big idea of yours full time, read our tips for choosing the best place to settle down and get to work. 1. When you’re starting out, every person you meet is a potential opportunity. Make the most of being in a shared workspace by choosing somewhere that actively promotes the community that works there – be it through networking events or tailored introductions. 2. Space for those all-important brainstorm sessions is essential. Meeting rooms are often not included in the membership fee so check out cost and availability, and ask if

A very moving experience - I-AM brand design agency, Workspace design, Office branding, brand positioning service & Brand Identity Design Agency in Mumbai, India

A very moving experience At a recent race meeting I was talking to a fellow competitor who’s son had just returned from a visit to the Nurburgring racetrack in Germany. The ‘Ring’ sees an endless pilgrimage to its challenging 14-mile circuit that is open to the public on a pay and go basis. His son’s visit included a tour of the track in a Jaguar and it was apparent from this brand experience that he had been converted into a Jaguar enthusiast and ambassador. This type of experience is not unusual as Porsche and other manufacturers use the circuit all the time to show off their performance prowess. Our conversation moved on to how this type of experience could benefit car showrooms as a whole, which got me thinking about the current state of the experience when buying a new car. It depends on who you are talking to but one of the most amazing auto experiences has to be the test track on the roof of the Lingotto building in Turin, but to be fair not everybody has that sort of faci

Ethos founder recognised for achievements - I-AM branding agency, Office branding, Workspace design, brand consulting services & Brand Identity Design in Mumbai, India

Ethos founder recognised for achievements I-AM has been working with Jessica Kruger and the team at Ethos since the business was just an idea, developing the brand to become what customers flock to now: that iconic stag hanging above the door and the famed delicious vegetarian food within. We’re pleased that Jessica’s achievements in spearheading such an innovative concept have been recognised, not least by her inclusion in the Telegraph’s list of the top 35 businesswomen in the UK. Here’s Jessica in her own words, “Getting to where I am today has taken passion, commitment and a good dose of elbow grease. I was nervous about taking the plunge to start my own business but jumped at the opportunity. Ethos itself has developed thanks to steep learning curves, listening to customer feedback and investing in my own skills to better lead my brand and team. “ And here at I-AM, we’re looking forward to exploring new ideas with an inspiring client dedicated to raising the bar for meat-free

The last days of Jabba the hut - I-AM brand consultants, Office branding, Workspace design, brand design agency & Brand Identity Design in Mumbai, India

The last days of ‘Jabba’ the hut It was one of the best pieces of work I-AM has ever been part of, selected from a huge international tender by Lincolnshire County Council to create a beach hut that would play its part in reinvigorating the Eastern coastline. Enter the now iconic ‘Jabba’ (as in ‘Jabba The Hut’ for Star Wars aficionados). A design inspired by the very earliest form of seaside dwellings with an entry based on a cave and designed using layers of timber, glass and aluminium to combat the unforgiving coastal weather. Jabba became a must-see tourist attraction and even featured in the promotional build-up to the Olympics as Lincolnshire’s most iconic structure alongside local Olympian and gymnast Beth Tweedle. All good things come to an end and, after eight years, the original design finally wore-away. But Jabba has been given a second lease of life, and I-AM were delighted to contribute time to redesigning the iconic hut using solid surface material Corian to be unveil

Thoughts from the inside & Interior Designer James Coates - I- AM brand strategy consulting, Workspace branding, Office design, brand identity design & brand strategy consulting in india

Thoughts from the inside For the latest I-AM newsletter, we spoke to senior interior designer James Coates about what inspires him, as well as his alternative career as a fisherman. What inspires you (with your interior designer hat on)? I’m not just inspired by any one thing; I’m inspired by everything. I take influence from post modernism and art installations through to hand crafted objects to kitsch and neon. What first attracted you to interior design? After studying a degree in product and furniture design I was naturally led to interior design as it involves everything I’m passionate about – both 3D and 2D. How long have you worked as an interior designer? I’ve managed to get over the 10-year hurdle. How has the role of an interior designer changed in the time you’ve been in the industry? It’s definitely more about the experiential design today, there is so much more influence from all areas of design opposed to a focus on JUST a space, which, arguably, there was befor

Jabba II lives - I-AM brand identity design,Office branding,Workspace design, brand consulting services & Brand Design Agency in India

Jabba II lives An iconic beach hut, which became the emblem of the Mablethorpe and Sutton-on-Sea Bathing Beauties Festival, has been replaced with a more robust structure. In 2006, a competition to design a beach hut for the 21st century saw many weird and wacky creations cited along the coast. The huts provided an added attraction for visitors and have enjoyed international attention. But, the years took their toll on the most iconic of the huts, which was designed by I-AM – Jabba, a striking curved structure, which was designed to blend with the sand dunes. Due to the way it had deteriorated, the original hut was unable to be restored and was removed in 2013. After consultation with East Lindsey District Council, Mablethorpe and Sutton Town Council and local residents, Lincolnshire County Council worked with I-AM to design and build a more robust Jabba II. I-AM commented “Jabba is a project we’re immensely proud of and it’s stayed close to our hearts over the years. That Jabba h

Soaking up style in Scandinavia & Copenhagen Fashion Week - I-AM brand strategy consulting, brand consultants, brand identity design & Branding Agency India

Soaking up style in Scandinavia It’s no secret that Scandinavians have style. An unintentional easy-going and just plane beautiful style. So when Copenhagen Fashion Week arrives, the glitterati take over the city’s streets to see what’s in store for the season ahead and unsurprisingly it’s proving to be a one not to miss! The I-AM team was again in attendance, arriving on Wednesday afternoon with the first stop being the popular Kings Square to get a good old helping of street style. The sun was shining along the canal and the streets buzzing with genuine summer excitement. The real signature Scandinavian style shines through at Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF). We arrived early to beat the crowds, walking into a sun-lit courtyard and ready to take on some of the best fashion brand talent in the world, and we were not disappointed. Meandering through what seems like endless rooms of stalls filled with aesthetically pleasing garments for men, women and children, visitor

Let them eat cake - I-AM brand design agency,Workspace branding,Office design, brand consultants & Marketing Consulting Services in Mumbai, India

Let them eat cake Here at I-AM, we eat our fair share of cake. Every birthday in the studio is an opportunity to bring out a slice of ‘Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference’, and we’re about to embark on our second annual Bake Off competition. But the stakes were seriously raised this week when, hearing it was our Creative Director’s birthday, the team behind Steakout surprised us with this … that’s right, a steak cake. We’re pleased to verify that, meaty though it looked, the cake was a delicious sponge with fresh fruit filling. It also fed just about everyone in the studio! So following the success of Steakout and Shakeout, might a Cakeout be on the cards? Only time will tell. Thanks Kaysor and the team, the cake was great! Branch Transformation: Do you really need a branch of the future? And does it have to be a Ferrari? I-AM Brand Strategy Consulting, Office branding, Workspace design, brand consultants & brand identity design india

Branch Transformation: Do you really need a branch of the future? And does it have to be a Ferrari? The relentless rise of digital has left most retail sectors grappling with how to maintain relevancy for the bricks-and-mortar component of their offer. The banking sector is no exception – indeed it’s one of the best examples of how (or not) to solve the conundrum between a physical presence and a cost-effective online transaction. At RBR’s recent ‘Branch Transformation’ conference in London, 510 banking delegates from around the world gathered for 2 days of talks on the subject, and I-AM’s Group Managing Director, Jon Blakeney, was one of the speakers. Jon used his talk to focus on one of the industry’s trending topics: ‘The branch of the future’. While most bankers believe that branches are the best environment for serving and selling, many banks seem to feel the need to over-correct the natural tendency towards digital transactions, and in so doing they invest in unnecessarily el

Ethos crowned Food Shop of the year - I-AM brand design agency, brand positioning services, Office brandin, Workspace design & marketing consulting services india

Ethos crowned Food Shop of the year A year on from when it first opened its doors, Ethos continues to grab headlines for its pioneering approach to food and sumptuous interiors. So it was fitting to be handed the award for Best Leisure Food and Drink Shop at last night’s ISG Retail Week Interiors Awards. Up against the likes of McDonalds and Nandos, Ethos holds its own and, in the words of the judges, is ‘simple, but appealing’ and ‘the sort of place I’d like to eat in’. For the Awards dinner and ceremony, the I-AM team behind the project were delighted to host Ethos founder Jessica Kruger. Kept entertained by an enthusiastic compere – not only very funny; he also commendably applauded every single nominee throughout the evening – the night finished with the team taking to the dance floor and it was a great way to celebrate such a successful project and partnership. Well done to everyone involved! Read about all the winners on the Retail Week Interiors Awards website. Address-: P-

Branding and Retail Trends for 2016 - I AM Workspace branding, Office branding, brand identity design & branding agency india

Branding and Retail Trends for 2016 With a new beginning of the year 2016, I-AM India has compiled some emerging trends within the branding and retail sectors that will help businesses build a successful brand and offer a seamless brand experience. Branding is not just a placement of identities or of “logos” in print, online, television, OOH or any other medium. The concept of branding stems from defining the target and mining a definite insight to arrive at a brand core or brand essence. Very often businesses say they want a logo without arriving at a brand core. A brand core, well thought through, will let you define the look, feel, colors, fonts, sound/audio to arrive at an identity. This identity then leads you to arrive at a visual language and tone of voice that is very distinctively recognizable as the face of your brand and by extension – branding of your product or services. Watch this space for more over the next few days, starting with trend #1. Address-: P-2 Raghuvan

A Bright Way To Bank Sugamo Shinkin Bank - I AM branding agency, workspace branding & brand strategy consulting in india

A Bright Way To Bank Sugamo Shinkin Bank We were trawling the archives this week and found ourselves drooling over the beautiful, bright, unconventional Sugamo Shinkin Bank designed by Emmanuelle Moureaux Architecture & Design in Tokyo, 2011; an inspirational bank branch concept, dominated by bold explosions of colour. The architecture instantly draws your attention, featuring multi-coloured, protruding horizontal layers which brightly illuminate at night. Inside the branch, customers instantly feel a sense of relaxation with three long glass air wells providing sunlight throughout. Colour is used sparingly throughout the interior; a subtle accent to the largely white finishes and materials. The concept, Rainbow mille-feuille, is daring, playful, unconventional and brilliantly executed, a credit to Emmanuelle Moureaux Architecture & Design. In the competitive and somewhat conventional world of Banking, it’s so refreshing to see a concept that breaks down the barriers, a con

Human Behaviour and Design - I-AM Brand Design Agency, branding and corporate identity services india

Human Behaviour and Design - I-AM Brand Design Agency, branding and corporate identity services india Human behaviour is something that most designers strive to influence. Design drives emotions and it also drives one’s senses to act in a way that could be guided to bring about a fertile environment maximising customer engagement, brand connect and eventually make a purchase decision. Human behaviour always varies dependent on the kind of space one is in, thus a space can make you feel extremely energetic or extremely cold depending on what forms, materials, colours, patterns etc are used to build it and in the recent times we have seen a lot of brands develop a distinct blend for themselves using these elements as the key ingredients. In the case of True Blue I-AM, inline with the brand positioning, created a very warm space with subtly textured walls, infusing traditional indigo shades colours along with jaali patterns to bring in the ancient Indian weaves and fabric prints in phy

I-AM Beyond shares experiential insight

I-AM  Beyond  is the experiential marketing arm of ‘i-am’ associates.  Mel Connell , Beyond’s Director was recently interviewed for an article on Yahoo where she gave some of her industry insight and some hints and tips on what can make small brands cool. The article featuring Mel is posted below, as well as a link so you can read the whole thing for yourself. Enjoy! http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/how-to-make-your-small-business-brand–cool–165012156.html Small businesses should also beware of wasting their marketing budgets on expensive one-off advertising or public relations campaigns, say London-based brand experience experts ‘i-am’ associates. “Putting all your budget in one great PR pot or spending out on an advertising campaign that isn’t niche enough are some of the biggest mistakes SMEs can make,” says Mel Connell, Director of ‘ i-am ‘ Beyond, the firm’s experiential marketing arm. “SMEs need to think less about overarching brand awareness and more about generating brand adv

Why Action-Oriented Marketing Is the Way Forward

This week we’re loving the brilliant article by Douglas Van Praet titled  ‘Brands, it’s time to get moving: why action-oriented marketing is the way forward’. In the latest installment on his series on neuroscience and marketing, Douglas Van Praet argues that humans are driven by movement and memory, and the best brands think beyond grabbing eyeballs and focus on creating experiences. We especially loved the line  ‘The greatest irony in advertising is that despite continued heavy media investments,   branding   doesn’t simply occur by staring at the TV or surfing the web. It happens best in the tangible interactions of authentic human experiences.’ Here at ‘i-am’ associates, we specialise in creating brands that not only build advocacy but also draw on passions and experiences from all over the world and across industries and sectors. C.P. Hart Unveils New Chelsea Showroom

Leading bathroom retailer   C.P. Hart   opened the doors to its ninth London showroom during the   London Design Festival   last month with the launch of C.P. Hart Chelsea, an inspirational new retail concept for the bathroom industry featuring a lighting sculpture by Jason Bruges. C.P. VQ launch new Great Russell Street Restaurant

Image
Last week, some of the   I-AM team   were excited to attend the opening of the   brand new VQ restaurant on Great Russell Street . I-AM have worked with VQ for a number of years and this latest collaboration marks a new and exciting phase of the   VQ journey . The Great Russell Street site is much larger than the restaurant in Fulham where   VQ   have made their name, but still needed to encapsulate the core VQ idea of ‘24-hour life’. The I-AM designers focused on the idea of how light and shadows change in a space throughout the course of a day, and looked at the ways in which light moves across different materials. The key features of the space include a striking 8 metre light wall that stretches across an entire wall, displaying low-resolution images of ‘London life’. The content is designed to capture the movement of city life whilst the mood ranges calming and light, to slightly more darker and vibrant in the evening creating an entirely different atmosphere in the restaurant. ‘

Sense Sells: An evening of Multi-Sensory Exploration

Next month, ‘ i-am ’ will host an evening of multisensory exploration with a talk given by sensory consultant, Paul Schütze. Our event, entitled ‘ Sense Sells ’, will consider the ways in which the five senses can be engaged by brands to delight their customers. Many brands focus much time and attention on what their brand should look like, yet a surprising number neglect to consider what their brand should sound or smell like. By focussing on just one or two of the senses, brands waste valuable opportunities to engage with their customers on an emotional level. Here at ‘i-am’ we specialize in creating 360-degree brand experiences that sweep customers off their feet. A fundamental aspect of this philosophy is that a brand experience should be delightful on every front: sight, smell, sound, taste and feel. The sensory cortices of the brain are closely linked to areas dedicated to the processing of emotion; the senses therefore offer an important route for a brand to establish meaningf

Playing with Colour

Artists such as Camille Walala, Lakwena Maciver and more recently Yinka Ilori have been the driving force behind a surge of bright colours and font being used throughout the design industry. We are seeing buildings cladded with bold print and patterns, whole rooms covered in bright hues and furniture accented confidently with colour. This refreshing trend is breaking up what has become a sea of grey and concrete interiors following the industrial and Nordic design trends. This resurgence of colour was confirmed across the  London Design Festival  this year, where Ilori occupied an assortment of design platforms across London with his bright palette. The largest being his vibrant pop-up, Estate Playground, in collaboration with citizenM Shoreditch. The entrance played host to an explosion of colour, with Ilori up-cycling and rejuvenating forgotten furniture. This playful interaction between form and colour was reflected in the mirrored ceiling of the hotel’s entrance, extending the im

WELLNESS SERIES – PART 3: WELLNESS IN FOOD & BEVERAGE

Image
Introduction: Our Wellness Series Consumers are increasingly pursuing products and experiences that encourage wellbeing and healthy habits, with today’s “wellness” referring to holistic, healthy lifestyles reflected as physical, mental, social, and spiritual wellbeing. Wellbeing has become a pivotal aspect of peoples’ lives and has subsequently affected various industries. Acknowledging the broad meaning of wellness and its ties to consumer lifestyles – Here we analyse 3 core sectors: Finance, Hospitality and Food & Beverage to explore how brands are catering to this ever-growing consumer expectation. This third part will explore wellness through the lens of food and beverage encompassing dining experiences, leading dietary and consumer trends. Whilst the restaurant industry along with many other sectors have taken a major hit amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, we believe wellness will only increase in importance following this crisis. People are experiencing a fearful phase on the we
